One woman was killed and two other people were seriously injured in a weeklong spree of alligator attacks in Florida — all of them miles from the Sunshine State waterfront.

In the latest attack, a 31-year-old woman was swimming with friends in the Econlockhatchee River at the Little Big Econ State Forest — nearly 30 miles from the coast — when she was mauled by an alligator around 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, according to WESH-TV News.

The woman was rushed to an area hospital, where she was pronounced dead, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission told the outlet.

A harrowing 911 call obtained by WESH revealed details of the horror attack, with the caller describing the woman’s injuries as “horrible” and saying “both her arms are dislocated… off basically… one arm is completely off.”

The woman’s identity was not immediately released.

The tragedy came just one day after a youngster was bitten by an 8-foot-7 gator while fishing with his dad at Nelson’s Fish Camp in Marion County on the other end of the Florida peninsula, WESH reported.

The gator, which bit the boy on the hand, was captured and killed after the incident.

In yet another attack, a 19-year-old was bitten around his head and neck by a more than 8-foot gator while snorkeling in the Rainbow River in Dunnellon last Sunday, the Orlando Sentinel reported. The teen — who the outlet reported had “deep cuts — was treated and released at a local hospital.

According to fish and wildlife officials, the mating season for alligators has been underway since early April, which makes them more aggressive and active.
