3 Dynasty Fantasy Football Running Backs To Trade For
Dynasty fantasy football owners should eye three running backs poised for significant value increases in 2026. Cam Skattebo, despite injury concerns, showed dominant rookie production at 16 PPG and is a long-term asset if healthy. Tony Pollard, an overlooked 1,000-yard rusher, offers a high-floor RB2 option for contenders, with potential for more if the Titans' offense improves. Jordan Mason, currently RB45, is a strong candidate to seize the starting role from an aging Aaron Jones in Minnesota. His efficiency and potential RB1 status could dramatically boost his low ranking, making him a prime target for future gains.
With each month that passes by in the offseason, most dynasty fantasy football owners tend to focus on production more and more.
With that in mind, we’ll be looking at three running backs that should increase their value over the course of the 2026 season. These last two players don’t pertain as much to rosters that aren’t contending but they could end up trading them away if there’s an increase in value for assets that better fit their team.
With that in mind, we’ll be looking at one running back inside the top 24 while the other two are ranked below RB40. For these rankings and value, we’ll be looking at Keep Trade Cut.
It’s understandable why Cam Skattebo is being ranked fairly low and that’s due to the injury concerns around him. Skattebo only played in eight games last year due to an injury in week eight which caused him to have surgery
That said, as long as Skattebo can get back on the field early in the year, he should have a big 2026 season. Last year as just a rookie, Skattebo was dominant, scoring 16 PPG (PPR).
Skattebo didn’t have the best rushing efficiency with just 4.1 YPC, but he’s a great pass catcher, with 24 catches and 207 yards in eight games.
Although the injury is a concern for Skattebo going forward, if healthy he can be a staple on your roster for years to come at only 24 years old.
Due to the Tennessee Titans going 3-14 last year, there wasn’t much buzz around them. For that reason, Tony Pollard running for 1,082 yards has gone a bit under the radar. Pollard was efficient as well, with 4.5 YPC.
That said, Pollard would score only 10.9 PPG as he only had five touchdowns and 33 catches.
As mentioned in the second paragraph, Pollard at 29 years old isn’t great for a rebuilding roster. For contenders, Pollard could be a high floor RB2, which is a good move at his cost.
Former number one overall pick Cam Ward will be heading into year two, and if he can elevate this Titans offense, Pollard should benefit a lot as well. Keep in mind that Pollard is very talented as well, going for over 1,000 rushing yards in four straight seasons.
Although Pollard may not have the same ceiling as Skattebo, it’s reasonable for his production to increase to the 12 PPG range if Ward is able to elevate this offense in 2026.
At RB45, Jordan Mason is ranked very low, yet there’s a good chance he’s going to become the starting running back on this roster.
One problem is that Mason has always been efficient but never scored more than 10 PPG in a season. The other problem is Aaron Jones is still on the roster.
With Jones being 31 years old and seeing his lowest YPC mark at 4.2 of his career, it’s reasonable to expect Mason will take over the starting role in 2026. The last concern is the Minnesota Vikings offense struggled in 2025 with the 7th fewest PPG scored in the NFL.
When you really think about the questions of Mason, it explains why he’s ranked this low. At the same time, if Mason is able to establish himself as the RB1 for this offense in 2026, he should see his dynasty fantasy football value increase.
