A "haunting" psychological thriller hailed as "jaw-dropping" by viewers is now available to stream free. Platform 7, featuring Jasmine Jobson, Toby Regbo, Yaamin Chowdhury and Coronation Street's Sacha Parkinson, first debuted in 2024 and can currently be watched on ITVX, reports the Mirror.

The series proved a success upon its initial release, with audiences describing it as "outstanding" and declaring it a "perfect binge". A synopsis stated: "The drama is a haunting thriller following central character Lisa (Jasmine) who, after witnessing a cataclysmic event on platform seven of a railway station, finds her own fragmented memory jogged to reveal a connection between her own life and that of the event she has just witnessed. Supernatural elements combine with contemporary realism in this chilling drama."

Sacha, known for her portrayal of Sian Powers on the cobbles, appears as train station manager Melissa in the programme.

Platform 7 is adapted from Louise Doughty's 2019 novel of the same title, with the screenplay crafted by Paula Milne.

Speaking upon the initial announcement, Paula explained it was "no traditional 'spooky' ghost story". "It's the tale of a ghost on a quest to discover who she was and the events that led to her untimely death," she revealed, adding: "Her story is a celebration of indignation versus passivity and truth versus lies."

Viewers have been hooked watching the tale unfold, with one writing on IMDb.com: "Jaw dropping and engaging. Amazing, troubling yet gripping. Great series that keeps you hooked, slow burn into intense sitting on the edge of your seat engagement."

Another observed: "From early on, the show sets up questions and suspense around the death of the lead - with good characters and a nice pace, I was gripped throughout. The final episode was particularly intense."
