A tessitura twinbill from Mozart's "Marriage of Figaro": We'll hear how three voices—baritone, tenor, and soprano—weave through their ranges in the Act One Trio "Cosa Sento!" (KOH-sah SEN-toh—"What do I hear?"), followed by the "Letter Duet" from Act Three between Susanna and the Countess, where Mozart uses two voices in the same range to create one musical line. In our recording, Sir Charles Mackerras conducts the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, with soloists Alessandro Corbelli (The Count), Carol Vaness (the Countess), Nuccia Focile (Susanna) and Ryland Davies (Basilio).
