Alderney will be used as the starting point for a British armed forces kitesurfing challenge.

Six teams from the the Army, Navy and RAF will Kitesurf from Alderney to Poole across the English Channel.

Team members will each complete a section of the 70 mile (112.65km) relay which includes equipment changeovers between team members.

Money raised from the event, taking place next month, will be donated to Help for Heroes.
