Amanda Holden
Actor, presenter and judge. Amanda Holden is a wearer of many hats (extra relish on many) and switches them out all day long. Most recently, however, she's diversified her collection even further, acquiring a new chapeau: nail guru, with a manicure that's paving the way for summer beauty trends. Enter: Pearl glaze nails.
Over the weekend, Amanda attended day one of The Championships Wimbledon 2026 alongside her partner, Chris Hughes. And while the pair were completely caught court up in the sport, what had us in love and causing a racket was the glossy, fresh manicure donning Amanda's fingertips.
As the pictures below show, our nail guru for this week (a Cosmo honour previously held by Hannah Waddingham and Cat Deeley) opted for a set defined by a slight neutral ombré, glassy sheen, and oval shape with extra length. In other words, it's a classic that can be tweaked and tailored depending on preference or occasion, without losing the chic, elegant and flattering universal appeal. Add a floral decal here, and you've got yourself a holiday-appropriate set; introduce a chrome finish there, and you're festival-bound. The limits to a neutral pearl glaze mani are endless.
And that's not even the best part! Better still, pearl glaze nails are refreshingly low-maintenance. Thanks to its neutral hue, pearl glaze nails are far more forgiving when it comes to visible regrowth than darker shades or intricate nail art.
In practical terms, this means you can stretch that two-week infill appointment to three and a half weeks (or four, if you're lucky), making it perfect for the summer season when social plans are ceaseless (read: World Cup pub trips are unswerving).
