A man has been arrested on suspicion of burglary following a police operation in Suffolk.

Police were called to reports of a burglary at a supermarket in Chancery Lane, Debenham, on Friday night.

Shortly afterwards, a car failed to stop for officers on the A140 and was followed by police cars and the force helicopter before going into a ditch.

A 22-year-old man was taken to West Suffolk Hospital before being arrested and taken into custody.

He is being held on suspicion of taking a vehicle without consent, burglary, possession of a controlled drug, failing to stop for a police officer and dangerous driving.
