Ten people have been arrested in connection with the murder of an 18-year-old man in east London.

Wahab Zaaki, from Chingford, died from multiple stab wounds after being attacked in Walthamstow in March 2009.

Police arrested three men over the death. They also held two women for perverting the course of justice and a girl, 16, over connected offences.

Four other people including a girl, 15, were arrested over unconnected drugs and firearms allegations.

All 10 have been remanded in police stations across north and east London.

Officers recovered two guns and crack cocaine during the operation.

Mr Zaaki was killed after an altercation with a group of youths.

He was pronounced dead en route to hospital and a post mortem examination gave cause of death as stab wounds to the chest.
