Police studying CCTV footage after disorder at a match between Port Vale and Shrewsbury hope to question more than 30 people.

Police have identified a significant number of people who will be arrested and have put images of the rest on the force website.

Eight people were arrested when trouble flared at the end of the match at Vale Park in Burslem on 8 May.

They remain on police bail until next month, Staffordshire Police said.

Supt Laurie Whitby-Smith said: "Our officers have gathered evidence in relation to over 30 people who will be questioned about their actions on the day of the match.

"Officers have already been able to identify a significant number of these and we are planning to arrest them in the next few weeks.

"However we need the help of the public in identifying a number of individuals, which is why we have today published these images."

Anyone who recognises the men or, themselves in the images should contact the football and events unit at Hanley Police Station.
