'Awarapan 2' box office collection day 10: Emraan Hashmi's film nears Rs 140 crore net in India after an impressive second weekend, declared a big hit with 202 percent profit
Emraan Hashmi’s ‘Awarapan 2’ has emerged as one of the biggest box office success stories of 2026. The much-awaited sequel has not only revived the impact of the original but has also turned into a major crowd-puller, with the film now moving steadily towards the Rs. 150 crore mark in India.The film benefited greatly from the Independence Day holiday period and maintained strong momentum throughout its first week.
That trend continued into the second weekend, giving the romantic action drama another boost at the ticket window.On Day 8, ‘Awarapan 2’ earned Rs. 5.75 crore net from 9,858 shows. This took its India net collection to Rs. 136.25 crore, while the India gross reached Rs. 162 crore. The overseas market added another Rs. 1 crore, taking the film’s worldwide gross to Rs. 192 crore.The latest success has also helped Emraan Hashmi achieve a notable personal milestone.
The actor has now surpassed the profit percentage of his first superhit, ‘Murder’. The 2004 erotic thriller had recorded a profit of 200% at the box office, while ‘Awarapan 2’ has generated an estimated profit of nearly 215% within just 10 days.The film has also climbed higher on the list of the highest-grossing Bollywood films of 2026. ‘Awarapan 2’ has officially gone past ‘Welcome To The Jungle’, which had collected Rs. 137.93 crore.
With that, Emraan Hashmi’s romantic drama, directed by Nitin Kakkar, has become the fifth highest-grossing Bollywood film of the year.The next film in its sights is ‘Dhamaal 4’. With its current pace, ‘Awarapan 2’ could surpass the lifetime collection of Ajay Devgn’s comedy during its second week itself.For Emraan Hashmi, the film’s run has turned into a remarkable comeback at the box office, while ‘Awarapan 2’ continues to prove that a strong word-of-mouth response can take a sequel far beyond expectations.The film also stars Disha Patani and Shabana Azmi in pivotal roles.Give your child the gift of confidence!
