Australian rocker Jordan Brunoli has announced the devastating news that he is in the "final chapter of life" after being diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer. The beloved bassist from the Brisbane indie rockers, Bugs, took to Instagram on Sunday (August 16) to reveal that none of his cancer treatments has been able to prevent the cancer from spreading. His emotional post began: "I have spent over a year now trying different chemotherapy drugs, backed by an amazing oncologist and treatment team.
"Unfortunately, I have a mutation that causes rapid growth of tumours, and none of the treatments has been able to stop the cancer from spreading. I am now entering the final chapter of my life after being told in June that I had a prognosis of 3-4 months."

He went on: "I'm sharing this with everyone to keep y'all in the loop and be as upfront as possible." The 29-year-old musician went on to thank his supportive bandmates Connor Brooker and Brock Weston as he urged fans to listen to their latest album, Head Noise.
The musician continued: "We've worked on it for the last two years, through the food and the bad. We kept recording when I was recovering from surgery, sick from chemo, even when I had neuropathy so bad I couldn't feel the guitar I was playing."
Brunoli's bandmates have since launched a GoFundMe campaign to support him during his treatment, which, at the time of writing, has raised more than $100,000. He concluded his post by sharing how much music and the band have meant to him.
"Playing, recording and touring around Australia with Bugs has been the opportunity of a lifetime. I just want to say, if there were a few final shows coming up, you can bet your a** I'll be playing them."
He signed off his post with a few final, touching words: "Thank you, everyone, and watch me enjoy the f*** out of the rest of my life." It didn't take long for his loyal legion of fans to flock to the comments to share their well-wishes.
The band Eliza & The Delusionals penned: "Sending all of our love, and we can't wait to hear everything you've worked on." Another added: "Sending you all the love and strength; thank you for sharing your talent with a generation who will never forget.
"Live the way you want to and leave no regrets. We love you." A third echoed: "I will be there with bells on and ready to celebrate you and this music!!!"
