Bristol Rovers have signed midfielder Jack Aitchison on a two-year deal following his departure from fellow League Two side Exeter City.

The 26-year-old spent three years with Exeter and was ever-present for them last season as they were relegated from League One.

Aitchison became Celtic's youngest player and goalscorer when he netted with his first touch after coming on in a 7-0 win over Motherwell in May 2016, aged just 16 years and 71 days.

However, he did not establish himself at Celtic and spent three years with Barnsley before joining Exeter in 2023.

Manager Steve Evans told the Rovers' website:, external "Jack is a gifted lad, a Glasgow boy. Our supporters will take to this kid and if we can add goals to his game, he's a top, top Championship player."
