Two brothers have been charged with the murder of a 17-year-old who died in a pond in Greater Manchester.

Dylan Aaron's body was recovered from the water in Hindley, Wigan, on Sunday morning, hours after police were called to reports of an assault.

David McGrail, 34, and Drew McGrail, 26, were both charged with his murder on Tuesday evening.

Both men, of Lancaster Avenue, Hindley, are due to appear before Wigan Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.

David McGrail also faces a charge of section 47 assault and his younger brother a charge of criminal damage.

Witnesses reported that Dylan had gone into the water and had not been seen for some time.

An underwater search team recovered his body from the water at 0805 BST.

In a statement, his family said: "He was a young man with a promising future and all of us will miss him dearly, especially his brothers and sisters.
