Burgled Windsor pensioner offers reward for rings
A Berkshire pensioner is appealing for the safe return of his wife's engagement ring after it was stolen in a distraction burglary.
The couple, who are in their 80s, are offering a £1,000 reward for information leading to the return of three rings.
They were stolen from their home in Dedworth Drive, Windsor, on 24 May.
A man entered through an unlocked door, claiming to have lost a ball.
The victim, who does not want to be named, said: "I am hoping that the person who did this has a conscience and wants to return the rings to Windsor police station."
He added: "I would dearly love to be able to give my wife back her beloved rings."
One of the rings is diamond and tourmaline and has had two tiny pieces of gold added to it to give it a better fit. One is a white gold diamond cluster ring and the third is a gold engagement ring with diamonds and rubies.
Thames Valley Police said the man is described as white, 5ft 6ins (1.7m), with short, dark, slightly curly hair.
