The first 'Keep Guernsey Green Award' recipient has been announced since the project was enhanced.

The initiative recognises organisations which have reduced waste production as well as conserving energy.

Intertrust, which specialises in finance and law, became the first to reach Environment Department- assessed criteria.

Lucy Barnes, from Intertrust, said everyone had become involved in the project which had been successful.

The criteria set by the Environment Department for 2010 has become stricter compared to previous years.
