Speed limits for vehicles such as vans, minibuses and motor homes could be increased in the Isle of Man in an attempt to make the roads safer.
Phil Gawne MHK said it would cut the number of frustrated motorists overtaking in dangerous situations.
He said the vehicles are capable of being driven safely on unrestricted roads at speeds higher than the 40mph and 50mph currently allowed.
Isle of Man residents have until 30 July to comment on the plans.
Anyone who wishes to comment can write to Chris Hannon at the Department of Infrastructure.
