Cardi B Wins Big at 2026 BET Awards, Attends Solo After Rekindling Romance With Stefon Diggs

Cardi B won big at the 2026 BET Awards, attending solo amid her recent romantic reunion with NFL star Stefon Diggs.

The rapper, 33, performed on the Sunday, June 28, ceremony, which was held at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, shortly before winning Best Female Hip Hop Artist. In her speech, Cardi proclaimed that she loved “my babies” and Jesus.” (Cardi shares three kids with ex Offset, as well as a son with Diggs, 32.)

Cardi is the most-nominated artist at this year’s BET Awards. Her six nods include Album of the Year for Am I the Drama?, Best Female Hip Hop Artist, Best Collaboration for “Errtime Remix” featuring Jeezy and Latto, Viewers’ Choice for “Outside,” Video Director of the Year and The Fashion Vanguard Award.

Cardi, however, was not joined by Diggs on Sunday. After welcoming a son together in November 2025, the pair — who were first linked in October 2024 — sparked split speculation in February when they unfollowed each other on social media.

Later that month, a source confirmed to Us Weekly that Cardi ended her one-year relationship with Diggs just “a few days” before the Super Bowl. (After the New England Patriots wide receiver and his teammates lost the game to the Seattle Seahawks, Diggs was released from the roster in March.)

“They are always so up and down,” the insider revealed at the time. “This isn’t the first time they have broken up.”

According to the source, Diggs “betrayed [Cardi] so many times” throughout their relationship.

“Her friends have been trying to show her that he is not right for her and that she deserved better,” the insider added.

Despite her inner circle’s hesitations, Cardi and Diggs were subsequently spotted packing on the PDA at a pre-Mother’s Day event hosted by his nonprofit in May.

“Cardi and Stefon are giving things another shot,” a source exclusively told Us at the time. “She is giving him a second chance but is not fully committing to him.”

After their past issues, Cardi was “slowly letting” Diggs “back in,” per the insider.

“They’ve been in closer contact lately. Things are no longer contentious,” the source said. “She still has love for Stefon, which makes it difficult to walk away.”

Later that month, the couple’s relationship seemed to hit another snag when they were spotted arguing outside of a coffee shop and gym in Burtonsville, Maryland. In a viral video posted via X, which did not include audio, Cardi seemed visibly upset as she raised her hands while talking to Diggs, who leaned against his car. Another individual then approached Cardi and seemingly tried to calm her down.

Cardi — who is also the mother of daughter Kulture, 7, son Wave, 4, and daughter Blossom, 21 months, with estranged husband Offset — appeared to address the incident in an X post, writing, “Sometimes I forget I’m a celebrity … damn y’all ain’t never cuss your babydad out when you hungry?”
