Chorovaya Akademia, (Hoh-Roh-Veye-Yah

Chorovaya Akademia, (hoh-roh-VEYE-yah ah-kah-DEHM-ee-ah), a 16-voice all-male a cappella choir, has wowed American audiences this spring both in the concert hall and on disc. We'll hear the concert-hall part first, from an appearance the group made at Spivey Hall outside Atlanta a few weeks ago. The group sings a 19th-century chant of the Monastery of the Caves in Kiev: "Blessed is the Man." (Horton Systems Co./ACA Digital Recordings)
