Nassim Soleimanpour wrote the play while barred from leaving Iran; since its 2011 premiere it has logged over 4,000 performances across more than 25 languages.
There & Then was founded in 2026 by Soleimanpour and director Omar Elerian, whose decade-long collaboration includes “Echo” at the Royal Court Theatre and “Nassim” at the Bush Theatre. The company, which also counts executive producer Roz Coleman and producing advisor Malú Ansaldo among its core team, plans to work with artists and communities internationally at varying career stages. The Duchess Theatre run is cast by Matilda James CDG.
