A pensioner who died after he was knocked down a police car in Coventry has been named.
Denis Edward Skelley, 82, of Stoke, Coventry, was injured on 10 June on the A4600 Walsgrave Road in Stoke.
He was taken to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire but died shortly after arrival.
Officers from the force professional standards department have referred the collision to the Independent Police Complaints Commission.
His wife, Eileen said: "Denis was a step-father and step-grandfather and was very well known in the local area for his community work and will be sadly missed."
