A mother-of-two is to go on trial accused of murdering a man who was run over in the car park of a shop in County Durham.

Shaun Dalby, 28, from Coxhoe, died when he was struck by a Fiat Punto in the Browning Hill area, in the early hours of 2 February.

Ms Myers, 21, of Park Avenue, Coxhoe, had earlier denied a charge of murder.

On Friday, the judge at Newcastle Crown Court ruled that the trial would take place in February next year.

Ms Myers has been granted conditional bail.
