Firefighters, who recently gave out warnings over the dangers of heathland fires, have been called out to two more deliberate incidents.

Crews based in Cannock, Staffordshire, were called to deal with a grass land fire at Hednesford Hills during Monday evening.

A short time later they were called to a second fire in the same area.

The service recently said it had dealt with 200 deliberately started grass land fires over Easter alone.

Spokesman Ian Sloss said he had been "extremely shocked" at the amount of fires over the two week period and added that firefighters would be going out on bikes in hot spot areas as part of a safety campaign.
