A fire at a disused house in Leicestershire was deliberately started, fire officials have said.

Two fire engines were called to the property in Bushloe End, Wigston Magna, at around 0500 BST.

An aerial platform was later sent to the scene where the first floor and roof of the house were severely damaged.

The fire was brought under control after several hours and no-one was injured, the fire service said.
