The vehicle was stopped in Colinview Street in the west of the city at around 1700 BST.
In follow-up searches of two houses in Poleglass, a number of suspected cannabis plants and herbal cannabis were seized.
Two men, aged 27 and 37, were arrested and are continuing to help police with their enquiries.
