A service has taken place in Kent to honour the man who masterminded the Dunkirk evacuation during World War II.
Vice Adm Bertram Ramsay organised the rescue of more than 380,000 British and French troops trapped on the beaches of northern France.
Veterans, as well as descendants of Vice Adm Ramsay, gathered at Dover Castle to pay tribute to those involved in the events of 1940.
His grandson, Charles Ramsay, was among those taking part.
The tunnels beneath Dover Castle became the nerve centre for the evacuation, codenamed Operation Dynamo.
On Tuesday, 64 ships returned to Ramsgate from France to mark the anniversary.
The "little ships" re-enacted the original evacuation, which took place between 26 May and 4 June 1940.
