While France couldn't bring home the World Cup trophy — despite Mbappe's heroics — the 27-year-old's return to the cover of the world's biggest soccer title is something of a win for France, Mbappe and his club Real Madrid.

It also fits the pattern. FC 26 launched September 26, 2025, with early access a week out. A late-September Friday is where this franchise always lands.
None of that makes it official. EA has confirmed a cover and a reveal date and nothing else, which is the same gap that ran through the GTA 6 price leaks earlier this year.
