There’s a lot happening this summer, but one special event has garnered significant buzz: Taylor Swift’s wedding to Travis Kelce. Since the power couple’s engagement last year, everyone and their mother has tried to pin down the details surrounding the big day, causing loads of rumors and intense speculation.

Now, as the pair get closer to tying the knot, it seems at least a few official details have come to the surface. Here’s everything we think we know about Swift and Kelce’s wedding celebration, with the big caveat being that it could all be a huge bait and switch, given Taylor’s mastermind past.

Kelce popped the question in August 2025, leading people to guess that a wedding would happen after the NFL player wrapped his season in the new year. Fans speculated that Swift would aim for June 13, given her love of numerology and the fact it was a summer date that included her favorite number. In December 2025, Page Six reported that the pop star had paid to free up that date at Ocean House in Watch Hill, Rhode Island, the same town of her storied Holiday House property. But after that day came and went without a wedding, theories moved onto another day.

Earlier this month, TMZ reported that the couple had locked in July 3. Now, new details from the New York Times suggest that the festivities will indeed take place during the Fourth of July long weekend. Reports speculate that the big day will kick off on Thursday, July 2 with “an intimate gathering of about 100 people” and the following day will host a larger event with “about 1,000 guests,” per the Times, which cites an “entertainment industry executive and another person with knowledge of the matter.” Additionally, Amtrak police officers in charge of Penn Station, which sits underneath MSG, confirmed to the publication that they’ve been “told to expect a Swift wedding the weekend of July 4.” NYPD officers also told Variety they were “briefed about a potential influx of Taylor Swift fans, paparazzi and onlookers” surrounding the venue on July 3.

Swift and Kelce can’t just get married anywhere. While folks guessed that the couple would host the event at the singer’s Rhode Island home, that all changed once TMZ reported that it would occur in “the middle of Manhattan” along with the July 3 date reveal. Page Six then reported that the wedding would take place at none other than New York’s iconic Madison Square Garden. On Tuesday, the Times seemed to confirm the location after reporting that the same entertainment exec claimed that Swift had rented the venue, and that a permit was filed in the city for the streets surrounding the venue to be closed between July 2 to midday July 4.

Stevie Nicks will be in attendance, sources confirm to Rolling Stone after reports surfaced Saturday morning. One source says the rock legend is expected to perform on the big day.

No other details of what’s expected to be a star-studded guest list have been confirmed. But the Times did report that “several members of the Kansas City Chiefs have booked hotel rooms for dates around July 3 at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square,” not too far away from MSG. We can also likely expect some of Swift’s closest friends to make an appearance, including Abigail Anderson, her longtime bestie, and Selena Gomez. Given the nature of the windowless venue with several back entrances, it’s not likely the world will know everyone that makes it to the big day.

So far, the wedding has not been confirmed to be televised or livestream for the general public either, and it will likely remain exclusive to the guest list.

According to George Kittle, San Francisco 49ers tight end, Swift and Kelce do not have a wedding registry, and actually have a strict “no gifts” policy. “They said absolutely no gifts,” the player told Extra TV in an interview. Neither of the stars have confirmed if this is true, but it does seem like a good rule for the couple that has everything.
