Fans of crime dramas and police procedurals are being urged to watch "one of the best" crime dramas ever seen. The series, which is just one of many masterpiece crime dramas, follows a former psychic who works as a consultant to the California Bureau of Investigation (CBI), using his skills to help solve murder cases. The former conman has a tragic reason for his involvement with law enforcement and he sets his sights on catching a serial killer known as Red John.

The Mentalist is the series in question and it stars Simon Baker as psychic Patrick Jane and Robin Tunney as his boss, senior agent Teresa Lisbon.
