Relatives of a man killed when his car hit a tree in Dorset have paid tribute to their "positive, loving" brother and son.

Steven Anthony Parsons, 19, of New Milton, Hampshire, died when the Seat Leon he was driving crashed on the Christchurch Bypass on Saturday 22 May.

A 19-year-old man from Bournemouth was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and bailed.

Mr Parsons' funeral will be held in Christchurch on Friday.

A statement from Mr Parsons' family said: "There are no words to express our loss because Steven was our son and our brother.

"To be taken from us at the age of just 19 must mean that he is needed to help and do good elsewhere.

"Steven was respectful, happy, positive, loving, caring and sensitive - just a few words to describe Steven who always put others first.

"Although mature beyond his years, he was still a child at heart.

"We are so proud and honoured to have been part of Steven's life but know we will always be together.

"Our thanks and love to all who have expressed their support, love and sympathy."

Police want to speak to anyone who saw the grey Seat or a silver Audi A4 travelling on the A35 towards Christchurch from Somerford at about 1815 BST.
