A former senior youth worker has been found guilty of a string of sex offences against girls aged between 14 and 17.

Jacob Agnew, 30, from Hull, was convicted of six charges following a 13-day trial at Hull Crown Court, which concluded on Monday.

Humberside Police said the offences involved seven girls and took place between 2012 and 2022, while Agnew was a youth worker.

He has been released on bail and is due to be sentenced at the same court on 24 July.

Agnew was found guilty of four counts of sexual activity with a child, sexual assault and causing a child to engage in sexual activity.

At a previous court hearing in March, Agnew pleaded guilty to fraud and four counts of sexual activity with a child.
