Former Prince Andrew's 'Fixated' Stalker Researched Princess Charlotte & Kate Middleton
On May 6, 2026, former Prince Andrew had a spine-chilling encounter. Outside his home on Marsh Farm in Norfolk, he was approached by a suspicious man who was reportedly wearing a balaclava and camouflage clothing. After chasing the former royal, the stalker, now revealed to be Alex Jenkinson, was detained by police.
Per The Telegraph, Jenkinson, who had a wooden-handled axe and a rock in his pocket at the time of his arrest, was then charged with two counts of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour to harass someone or cause alarm or distress. He is set to stand trial at Westminster magistrates’ court on July 29.
Ahead of the trial date, however, more details have been uncovered on Jenkinson’s intentions.
Per the outlet, Jenkinson made searches about many members of the royal family, including the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, and her three kids with Prince William. That information, coupled with the large volume of internet searches on guns, knives, and explosives, led the Suffolk Constabulary to ask for an interim stalking protection order, or SPO, while criminal proceedings continue. The order was granted.
In a statement in court, James Farrell, representing Suffolk Constabulary, explained why Jenkinson’s internet history was so alarming. “[Jenkinson] could get fixated on more weapons and methods of killing and that could spiral out of control with more serious consequences,” Farrell warned.
“We say this shows a pattern of behaviour and targeted escalating behaviour associated with stalking,” Farrell continued.
“Mr Jenkinson displays elements of grievance and fixation about the subject,” he said. “We have reasonable cause to believe the order is necessary to protect the complainant from risk. We say the bail conditions are not sufficient to mitigate the escalating risk.”
So far, Jenkinson has pleaded not guilty to the allegations.
Until his trial date in late July, Jenkinson is prohibited from contacting Andrew or entering Norfolk. He is also barred from coming within 500 meters of the royal homes, including Sandringham estate, Buckingham Palace, Balmoral Castle, Windsor Castle and Highgrove.
The British royal family has yet to comment on the matter.
