Franz Joseph Haydn wrote six masses for the wife of Prince Esterhazy. The third of these was originally known as the "Mass in Time of Anxiety." It was later renamed to honor the man who defeated the French at Abukir. Neville Marriner conducts the Dresden State Orchestra and the Leipzig Radio Chorus with soprano Christine Schoenknecht in the "Kyrie" from Haydn's "Lord Nelson" Mass. (EMI CDC 7 47424)
