Kieran's family said he filled their lives with "joy and mischief"

Hundreds of people have paid their respects to a teenage boy killed in a school coach crash in Cumbria.

Kieran Goulding died when the 49-seater coach taking pupils home from Keswick School collided with a Honda Civic.

Fellow pupil Chloe Walker, 16, and the car's driver, Patrick Short, 68, were also killed in the crash on 24 May.

Kieran's funeral was held at St James' Church in Whitehaven, overlooking Duke Street where gunman Derrick Bird shot dead one of his victims.

Family and friends gathered for the 30-minute service, which was followed by a private cremation at Distington Crematorium, near Workington.

In a statement, the teenager's family said: "Kieran filled a room with his presence. His bright smile and his bubbly personality could charm anyone.

"Kieran's life was full of love from his family and in return he filled our lives with joy and mischief, always making his mum smile with his quick-witted comments and cheeky smile.

A funeral service for fellow victim Chloe Walker, who died on her 16th birthday, was held on Wednesday.
