Germany and Paraguay are set to clash as World Cup Round of 32 action continues in Boston on Monday.

Julian Nagelsmann and Die Mannschaft won Group E convincingly, backed by a roster of goal-scoring talent. Their 7-1 thrashing of Curacao in their group stage opener was followed by a come-from-behind 2-1 win over the Ivory Coast and a 2-1 loss to Ecuador.

La Albirroja overcame a 4-1 loss to the United States in its opener, then defeated Turkey 1-0 and drew with Australia to narrowly qualify for the knockout stage.

Germany is a -295 betting favorite on the three-way 90 min moneyline, while Paraguay carries +850 odds to win and +450 odds for a draw.

Paraguay’s attack is led by the duo of Julio Enciso and Miguel Almirón, with the latter returning for this match after receiving a red card against Turkey.

La Albirroja has struggled offensively, averaging only 36 percent possession entering this one.

In a crucial win-or-go-home match like this, having multiple strikers is vital, yet Paraguay has managed to score only twice in three matches, with Enciso assisting on both goals.

Paraguay’s goalkeeper Orlando Gill will be under significant pressure. Although he defended well against Turkey and Australia, the United States exploited multiple gaps in Gustavo Alfaro’s defense and scored four goals.

The Germans should have no issue in finding the back of the net, with more than enough options in Florian Wirtz, Jamal Musiala, Kai Havertz, and off-the-bench spark plug Deniz Undav.

Every match of the FIFA World Cup will air on either FOX or FOX Sports 1. If you don’t have cable, you can take advantage of a DIRECTV free trial to stream it all.

2014 World Cup winner Manuel Neuer controls the last line of defense for Nagelsmann’s squad as the goalkeeper, though the team will be without key defender Nico Schlotterbeck, who suffered a tournament-ending injury against Côte d’Ivoire.

Die Mannschaft has conceded a goal in each game of the tournament so far, and while that trend is troubling, Undav has been spectacular as a substitute with three goals and two assists.

As a team, Germany’s attack boasts a plus-two goal differential, and I think this continues.

The depth of the German roster should prove sufficient to navigate the pressure of the knockout stage and secure a spot in the Round of 16.
