Goor Morning Britain was brought to a temporary halt on Monday morning as the presenters shared news on Jeremy Clarkson's future with ITV. The Clarkson's Farm and Top Gear host announced his prostate cancer diagnosis on the Amazon TV series, which was recorded in 2025. But in an interview with the Sunday Times, he said he is now in remission following surgery, calling himself "officially the world’s luckiest man".

Showbiz correspondent Richard Arnold announced that the 66-year-old is now set for more episodes as the host for Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?. ITV confirmed that the reality TV host will return as the host for Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? for a further 15 episodes and its spin-off quiz show Millionaire Hot Seat for a further 20 episodes, which debuted in January with Clarkson at the helm.

The news comes after Clarkson revealed he had been diagnosed with "aggressive" prostate cancer, which had been discovered early, in the final episode of his reality show Clarkson’s Farm.

Katie Rawcliffe, director of entertainment, reality and daytime commissioning at ITV said: "The Millionaire brand continues to deliver for ITV audiences and Millionaire Hot Seat has brought an exciting new energy to the format. The combination of Jeremy Clarkson’s hosting and the high-pressure gameplay has proved a winning formula, so we’re delighted to be bringing both Millionaire Hot Seat and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? back for more episodes."

Clarkson will shoot the new episodes of both shows later this year and air on ITV and ITVX.

Last week, the former Grand Tour presenter admitted he recognises he needs to look after himself. "I really like seeing my grandchildren," he told The Sunday Times. "I want to watch them grow up. I drive much more slowly. I'm a bit of a dawdler. I go for walks a lot. I have vegetarian food."

He also shared that he is now in remission from prostate cancer, adding, "I've cheated death twice.

"It was an aggressive type of cancer. It could have spread, it could have gone into the pancreas, it could have gone anywhere, and that would have been trouble."

His cancer scare came after he restarted his blood-thinning medication for his heart issues without getting the medics' confirmation, and he underwent a heart procedure in 2024 after he experienced a "sudden deterioration" in his health and had a stent fitted.
