A woman has appeared in court after the remains of three babies were found at her former home and a fourth body was found at a nearby Merseyside cemetery.
The remains were discovered last August by police at the house in Harlow Close, St Helens, and in a makeshift grave.
Bernadette Quirk, 55, formerly of Harlow Close, and now of Wigan, was charged with concealment of birth.
The grandmother appeared at St Helens Magistrates' Court where she was bailed to reappear on Thursday.
The fourth baby's remains were discovered in the makeshift grave in St Helens Cemetery.
