A teenager has been banned from pubs and clubs in part of Oxfordshire because of his persistent drunken behaviour.

Tom Bennett, aged 18, from Grove, has been arrested after causing trouble in Wantage and Grove on 11 occasions.

Police said when he was last arrested he was trying to push a shopping trolley through a window.

On Monday he was given a drinking banning order at Didcot Magistrates' Court.

Thames Valley Police said he was only the second person in their jurisdiction to be given such a ban.

The order means he is barred from all pubs and off-licences in Wantage and Grove for two years.

It also states that he must not be "causing harassment, alarm or distress or engage in any disorderly conduct" while drunk.

If he is, he could be charged with a criminal offence.

The drinking banning order is under Section 3 of The Violent Crime Reduction Act 2006.
