England concluded their FIFA World Cup group stage campaign after they defeated Panama in New Jersey over the weekend. The team will now face DR Congo on Wednesday, July 1, 2026. And, ahead of the game, Amazon is offering an alternative way to watch the upcoming game.

This World Cup is the largest in history, featuring 48 teams competing across a record 104 matches over 39 days of football. Numerous fixtures are available to stream at no cost on Prime Video's ITVX channel.

Amazon's streaming service is broadcasting more than 50 key matches throughout the tournament, including vital knockout ties and the final on July 19. Prime Video also provides a catch-up facility with full matches available on-demand, enabling members to watch games that took place overnight.

There is also a dedicated highlights platform, showcasing the best moments from every match – including those originally aired on BBC – alongside a daily highlights programme and classic encounters, making Prime Video the go-to destination for World Cup coverage.

Prime Video is offering live and on-demand games from the FIFA World Cup for free with a seven-day trial of ITVX Premium, which also includes highlights of every game and full classic matches.

After the free trial, ITVX Premium will renew at the usual £5.99 per month, providing access to the biggest knockout games through to the final on July 19.

All of this content can be streamed on devices including smart TVs, smartphones, tablets or laptops, meaning football supporters can follow the World Cup during their daily commute or while on holiday.

World Cup enthusiasts can access Prime Video's World Cup coverage completely free with a seven-day trial of ITVX Premium. Following the promotional period, ITVX Premium will automatically renew at the standard £5.99 per month unless cancelled, reports the Daily Star.

While it is also worth noting that certain programmes may not be available to view outside of the UK, the BBC will be broadcasting a selection of World Cup matches across its channels, BBC One, BBC Two and BBC iPlayer.

Meanwhile, Kitbag is offering 25 percent off a range of retro England shirts, including the iconic 1990 Third Shirt. Shoppers can bring the price down to £30 (was £40) using the code GOAL, which also applies to the 1982 Home Shirt.

England's passage through the World Cup group stage was secured when they defeated Panama, but now the real work begins.

As they head into knockouts, they'll first be taking on DR Congo. After that, if they win the game, they'll either be battling it out with Mexico or Ecuador.

Supporters will be eager to see more attacking play after the disappointment of a goalless draw with Ghana. Among those tuning in via Prime Video's ITVX channel, viewers have been heaping praise on ITV's World Cup coverage.

Writing on X, one supporter said: "ITV [is] in a different league. It's not even close."

Another added: "ITV coverage of the World Cup has been great and the highlights are amazing."

However, the same fan raised doubts over the commentator selections, questioning: "Why for the matches we can't watch live are you having the best commentators like Drury, Alan Smith but on prime time matches where we watch live, it's Dixon."

While another remarked: "ITVs coverage has really been much better than BBC for this tournament."
