A £2.7m scheme to help protect land and businesses on the Humber estuary from flooding is progressing well, the Environment Agency has said.
Steel piles have been placed along a 900-metre section of Halton Marshes as part of the project, which started in September last year.
The Agency said this was now complete and rocks were being used to shore up the defences.
