A girl’s birthday party ended with hundreds of teenagers clashing with police after the event details were shared online leading to ‘utter carnage’.

The girl’s mother booked a community centre just off Old Kent Road in London with 100 friends and family invited.

However witnesses told Metro how as many as 400 more teenagers crashed the party after coming straight from school on Monday afternoon.

Many took buses where they knocked back booze before arriving at the venue in Twelve Acres House in the Avondale Square estate.

Neighbours said many were carrying knives which they hid when police were scrambled to the scene at around 5pm.

Footage shared on social media shows a mob being dispersed by police who are massively outnumbered.

A mum of two autistic children aged five and 13, told Metro how one of the teenagers hurled a knife into her back garden when the police arrived.

She said: ‘It was terrifying. A knife was lobbed over my wall what if it had hit one of my kids.

‘Loads of them had blades which they were hiding in bushes or throwing away when the police arrived.

‘They had come to the party after seeing a “link up” message online with details of the party. There must have been 500 all together. A lot of them came on buses and were drinking Buzz Ball cocktails.

‘When they arrived they were everywhere doing nitrous oxide with balloons. It was out of control, like a war zone.’
