A 67-year-old woman has been left "deeply upset" after a planter containing her husband's ashes was stolen from her garden in Hull.
The remains were in the back garden of a house in the Newtondale area.
Police said the brown planter had been stolen between 2110 BST on Saturday and 1300 BST on Sunday. It contained light pink and red roses.
Humberside Police appealed for anyone with information on the whereabouts of the planter to come forward.
Pc Rich West said: "The victim in this case is deeply upset by the theft of her husband's ashes and is desperate for them to be returned.
"I would also ask anyone who has the planter to return it to the owner so she can be reunited with this extremely sentimental item."
