Indecent child images 'found at doctor's house'

An expert found hundreds of indecent images of children after examining computer items from a doctor's house, a trial has heard.

Douglas Harris, 29, is alleged to have taken, permitted to be taken or made indecent images at his Aberdeen home, as well as being in possession of pictures.

Forensic computer analyst Ronald Findlay told Aberdeen Sheriff Court indecent images were found.

He has lodged special defences of incrimination and alibi.

Mr Harris claims someone else could have been responsible for downloading the images.

He further claims he was working shifts at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, Woodend Hospital or attending courses at the time of the alleged offences.

Police forensic computer analyst Mr Findlay told the second day of the trial a number of computer items were recovered as part of investigations.

Depute fiscal Neil Shand asked: "What did you find in terms of indecent images?"

He replied: "We found 371 indecent images of children among these items."

The offences are alleged to have happened between 2004 and 2006.
