Jake Hall’s ex-partner Missé Beqiri has spoken about the first conversation she had with her daughter after the reality star died last month.

The former Only Way Is Essex cast member, 35, was found dead after his head smashed through a glass door at a villa in Mallorca.

Hall, whose funeral took place last week, appeared on Towie for almost a decade, after first joining the show in 2015 before quitting in 2024. He also ran a menswear brand called By Jake Hall.

The reality star shared an eight-year-old daughter, River, with Albanian model and Real Housewives of Cheshire star Beqiri.

The 39-year-old has now reflected on the ‘awful shock’ of his death in a new interview in which she described receiving news of his death as the ‘worst phone call of her life’.

Beqiri spoke to The Sun about how her daughter River was understandably ‘upset’ by the news, telling the publication: ‘We’re trying to keep her in her routine, but when I took her back to school she said, “Do people know I don’t have a dad now?”

‘It’s so much for her little brain to process,’ she said, adding that River is now undergoing therapy to help her deal with the loss.

Beqiri added: ‘Even today, I keep thinking: “Is this really happening?” Getting that call from his family to let me know, I remember that I kept saying, “There’s no way,” and then everything went black. I can’t remember any of it.

‘That was the worst phone call I’ve ever had in my life. The shock was awful. The first person I thought about was River. How can I tell her that her dad is gone? I kept thinking, “I don’t know if I am able to do this”.’

For Beqiri, it has been additionally traumatising to lose Hall, as her brother also died suddenly seven years ago.

Flamur Beqiri, 36, was shot on his doorstep by Swedish hitman Anis Hemissi on Christmas Eve in 2019 in front of his wife and child.

Beqiri last week paid tribute to her late ex and her brother on Father’s Day, sharing a photo of the two of them smiling.

In the caption, she wrote: ‘Two men, dads, sons, brothers. Today it’s Father’s Day and I’m honouring these two fathers, my brother Alex and Jake…

I love you both and I know you’re watching over us and the babies. Our hearts are broken and at the same time I laugh because that’s all you guys ever did…

‘Life is very short, and sometimes we forget to look around us and say thank you, so thank you. If it’s one thing you can do today is that I’ve learned that my family; children, friends and kids are everything…

‘I am beyond grateful for them, for this community and each one of you who has thought of our family in this difficult time. So much respect. So much love and gratitude. Till we meet again.’
