'Jana Nayagan' box office collections day 3: Thalapathy Vijay and Pooja Hegde's film jumps 34.8%; crosses Rs 92.35 Cr India Net
Thalapathy Vijay's 'Jana Nayagan' witnessed a solid recovery at the box office on its first Saturday. After witnessing a drop on Friday, the action entertainer bounced back with a strong rise in collections on Day 3.According to Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 28.50 crore India net on Saturday. This marks a 34.8% increase over its Day 2 collection of Rs 21.15 crore.The three-day performance has helped the film move closer to the Rs 100 crore India net milestone.India collections near Rs 100 crore NetWith Saturday's earnings, 'Jana Nayagan' has collected Rs 92.35 crore India net in its first three days.
The film's India gross collection now stands at Rs 108.34 crore. Overseas, the Vijay starrer added another Rs 20 crore gross on Day 3. Its international total has now reached Rs 63.50 crore.Combining domestic and overseas numbers, the film's worldwide gross collection has climbed to Rs 171.84 crore. The movie was screened across 12,299 shows on Saturday.The language-wise collections were led by the Tamil version, which contributed Rs 24.40 crore.
The Hindi version collected Rs 2.70 crore, while the Telugu version added Rs 1.40 crore to the overall total.Occupancy improves through the dayThe Tamil version registered an overall occupancy of 61.04% on Day 3. Morning shows opened at 42.92%, before improving to 59.31% in the afternoon. Evening occupancy further increased to 67.00%, while night shows touched an impressive 74.92%.The Hindi version recorded an overall occupancy of 16.39%.
It opened at 7.08% in the morning before ending the day with 27.00% occupancy during the night shows.Meanwhile, the Telugu version registered an overall occupancy of 22.58%. Occupancy rose from 15.64% in the morning to 30.18% during the final shows of the day.Tamil Nadu continues to drive collectionsTamil Nadu contributed Rs 20 crore gross, making it the highest-performing territory for the Vijay starrer.Among the other regions, Karnataka collected Rs 4.75 crore gross, while Rest of India contributed Rs 4 crore.
Kerala added Rs 2.50 crore, and Andhra Pradesh and Telangana together collected Rs 2.09 crore.
