KCON LA 2026 concluded as the largest Korean culture festival in history, drawing a record 142,000 attendees over three days. Held at the Crypto.com Arena and Convention Center, the "K-Soul City" themed event surpassed all previous global attendance figures, marking a nearly 14% increase year-over-year. Featuring 36 acts like NCT 127 and Tomorrow X Together, plus a special Wanna One reunion, the festival offered extended M Countdown sets and showcased 144 brands. CJ ENM emphasized KCON LA's role as the "heart of the KCON journey," expanding K-culture worldwide, with KCON LA 2027 already scheduled.

KCON LA 2026 closed this past Sunday with the biggest crowd in the Korean-culture festival’s history.

CJ ENM reported 142,000 attendees across KCON’s three days at Crypto.com Arena and the Los Angeles Convention Center to watch performances from and meet with artists like &TEAM, Wanna One, NCT 127, Tomorrow X Together, TREASURE, P1Harmony, ILLIT, ZEROBASEONE, izna, RESCENE, Santos Bravos, ALPHA DRIVE ONE, from20 and more. That figure tops every previously published single-edition attendance number in KCON history so far across continents.

KCON previously reported its highest attendance at 140,000, which it reached twice when KCON LA 2023 drew a then-“record-breaking” 140,000 attendees across August 18–20. KCON Japan 2024 matched that figure the following May, which festival producer CJ ENM described in a press release as “a record-breaking crowd” and “the largest in its history” for the Japanese iteration of the festival. Before either, the record belonged to KCON Japan 2023 and its roughly 123,000 visitors, the biggest in-person turnout in KCON’s then-11-year history. (CJ ENM has never released onsite-only attendance figures for 2024’s KCON LA or KCON Germany — instead opting for in-person and online figures.)

Boasting a steep year-over-year jump, KCON LA 2025 drew 125,000, meaning the 2026 edition added roughly 17,000 attendees for a healthy increase of nearly 14% YoY. KCON Japan 2026 reported drawing 120,000 fans this past May.

Held August 14–16 under the theme “K-Soul City,” the festival featured 36 acts and 144 participating brands and companies with CJ ENM reporting digital coverage reaching more than 250 regions. Alongside different convention stages hosting artist interviews and performances throughout the day, the nightly M Countdown concert featured headliners NCT 127, Tomorrow X Together and ZEROBASEONE performing extended sets — most of which did not hit the promoted hour-long set time but did deliver 30-plus-minute sets — a first for a festival that had always compressed even its biggest names into broadcast-length runs. Beloved K-pop legends Wanna One also returned to the KCON LA stage for the first time in almost a decade, performing their past hits like “Energetic” and “Boomerang,” as well as new single “Spring Breeze, Again.”

“KCON LA has always been the heart of the KCON journey," Harry H.K. Shin, head of Music Entertainment at CJ ENM, said in a statement. "It is where it all started in 2012 and it’s where K-pop history was made. Starting with music, and expanding into beauty, food and lifestyle, we’ve really seen the power of soft power as people around the world embrace the Korean lifestyle in their everyday lives. We remain committed to being the global platform that brings artists, content and brands from every genre to audiences around the world.”

Indeed, KCON has come a long way since first premiering as a one-day convention and concert in California in 2012 — at the height of “Gangnam Style” mania — and drawing 10,000 fans in its debut.

Announced at the finale of the Day 3 concert, KCON confirmed that its next edition for KCON LA 2027 is set for Aug. 13–15 at the Crypto.com Arena and Los Angeles Convention Center.
