The letters of Kurt Weil and Lotte Lenya have just been published and last week was designated "Kurt Weil Week" in New York with a series of concerts to celebrate the composer's music. This is not the first time...in fact, Weil's music seems to have been the subject of periodic bursts of interest ever since the Doors recorded "Alabama Song" on their first album in 1967.
