Later this hour guest host Dean Olsher will be talking to composer Richard Einhorn about his composition "Voices of Light," inspired by Carl Dreyer's 1928 film "The Passion of Joan of Arc." From that CD, here's "Illness," a letter from Joan of Arc set to music which beseeches the warring parties to cease hostilities. The ensemble Anonymous 4 sings the part of Joan. The Netherlands Radio Philharmonic is conducted by Steven Mercurio. (Sony Classical SK 62006)
