Later This Hour We'll Hear
Later this hour we'll hear a report from the Metropolitan Opera in New York where a new version of surtitles, called Met Titles, made its debut last night. But first, here's a burst of their best: music director James Levine (luh-VEYEN) conducts the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra and Chorus in "Saria Possibile?" (SAH-ree-ah poh-SEE-bee-lay) from "The Elixir of Love" by Gaetano Donizetti (geye-TAH-noh doh-neet-SET-tee). The soloist is Dawn Upshaw. (DG 449 229-2)
