Legendary item to return to Greggs menu in days
Greggs has made an announcement that has many of its fans drooling. The famed bakery has confirmed that its famous Steak & Stilton Bake is returning to its stores in the UK, and it's arriving in a matter of days. Seven years after the beloved savoury pastry disappeared from Greggs menus, it returns on September 3. It is joined by exciting new additions like the Buffalo Chicken Baguette, Buffalo Pizza Slice, and Chicken & Pepperoni Toastie.
The Steak & Stilton Bake consists of diced beef cooked in a rich gravy, blue Stilton cheese and grilled onions wrapped in glazed puff pastry with a black pepper crumb topping. It is priced from £2.50 and contains 465 kcals. Greggs fans have rejoiced at the news, with many social media users saying that they have been waiting a long time for the iconic Greggs dish to return. Commenting on the Greggs autumn menu, one Reddit user said of the Steak & Stilton Bake: "I’m looking forward to this the most".

Another said: "Still in intense mourning for the beloved steak and cheese. I gasped out loud when I saw Steak & Stilton up there."
Announcing the autumn menu items, Gregg said that the beloved steak pastry achieved "near -legendary" status when it first appeared on its menus seven years ago, with many Greggs regulars remembering it well.
It promises a "deliciously indulgent take on a classic British flavour pairing".
Meanwhile, the Buffalo Chicken Baguette is packed with buffalo-style chicken, mayonnaise, mature Cheddar cheese and red onion in a freshly baked baguette. The Buffalo Chicken Pizza Slice contains the same flavours, served on a classic focaccia-style base.
There is also the new Chicken & Pepperoni Pizza Toastie, which combines chicken in a pizza-style sauce, mature Cheddar cheese and pepperoni between slices of white sourdough-style bread, topped with béchamel sauce and grated mixed cheese.
