Man, 70, found face-down in River Fal dies
A man from Roseland, Cornwall, has died after being found lying face-down in the River Fal.
The 70-year-old was spotted off St Just lying close to his punt by staff at a boatyard.
Coastguards from Portscatho attempted to revive him before he was flown to the Royal Cornwall Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Falmouth coastguards said the incident was watched by his wife and other relatives on the shore.
The cause of his death is not known, but the coastguard said it was possible he had drowned or suffered a heart attack.
